I'm not 100% the exact model of this knife but it looks exactly like my Ventura tan to from the 90's but longer and made in Japan. This knife is brand new in a leather sheath. thanks for looking.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. This knife is a knockoff. Feel free to post it on Cold Steel's forum. They will confirm it's not made by Cold Steel.

I concur. I hadn't even bothered to check it out. Cold steel is not in my normal realm. I picked it up at a show a few weeks ago because I got sentimental about my old brass guarded tanto from the 90's. Totally should have checked it out. My bad.

Still.....it looks to be a reasonably well done knock-off. They even got the logo pretty close. I'm not an expert by ANY means, but that's still a nice looking example, IMO.

There's nothing to praise about a counterfeiter in any way. This particular counterfeit can be had for $27.90 on the bay.
Search "Cold Steel Samurai Survival Fixed Blade knife 440A steel rubber handle knives" Same seller, shipping from China, is pushing counterfeit SRKs and Recon Tantos as well. Ebay does nothing about it.
