Yeah, they're both very similiar, I know. anyone find one better than the other, or basically the same thing?

Tuff,
I only have the LTC so I can't comment on the Light Ghurka, but I think I've seen a thread somewhere comparing the two by Cliff or somebody. I don't think there's much difference other than the shape. The weight and thickness are almost identical. I know mine is razor sharp. I think you'll like either one. Mine was a factory second I bought for $59.

Uhhh... dude, lay off the pipe for a day or so. Anyway, to answer your question, one is significantly thicker than the other. I don't feel like checking, but I think that the Light is 1/8" thick. The LTC is 5/16" thick, and WAY heavier (weigh heavier? yea, that one's terrible; I know). The Light has the coated blade. The LTC is uncoated and has a much pointier tip. Thats is one bad knife! FORGET the Trailmaster; give me one of dem things!

Howie,
If you check your catalogue you'll find that the Gurkha Kukri is the 5/16" thick uncoated Carbon five blade, and there's the Gurkha Light, which is the same version only 1/8" thick and coated. There's also a LTC Kukri which is also 1/8" thick coated, but has an entirely different blade shape than the other two. Also, not a bad knife for $59. The heavy thicker Gurkha is about $169.

hell, I'll get both!

Maybe I'll come up and tell my thoughts on each one.

Me doing a review - that could be scary...
