cold steel machetes

The South African ones are better than Wal*Mart, and easily found, but as an experienced Machete Monkey (tm) I don't think they're worth it as compared to the Chinese ones, but the blade stock on those ones are a bit thick for my taste.

However, if you really want a nice machete go with either Martindale (hard to find in the US, though. They're British and don't seem to export much of their line) and Condor, which is my preference. They're about twice as expensive, but five times the tool.

Lo Ink specialties (an online knife etc seller) has the Martindale line.
They are in Maine i believe.
I bought a Golok from them a month or so ago.So far i love it.
I'd post a link but i don't want to get a demerit for dealspotting.
Just Google Lo Ink specialties, that will get you there.

They do indeed carry some, but if you visit the martindale/chillington crocodile website, you'll notice that they make TONS of different models. The ones on Lo Ink are only classic Latin-style ones, and the martindale line is significantly more extensive. ;)
