Cold Steel Master Hunter ?

I don't consider myself a CS fan but I like the simple robust look of the Master hunter. Seems like a well rounded knife.

I thought the Master Hunter came out before the F1. I didn't think it was a copy. Both look like great knives.

I hear the grip is better on the MH as well.
I think it just sounds cooler when someone asks you what kind of knife it is.
"Oh this? It's fallkniven, from sweden, ladies.:cool:"
:barf::rolleyes::jerkit::thumbdn::D

I guess you never seen the catalog? They were offered in kraton and thermorun.

When exactly did Fällkniven make F1s with Kraton handles?

Fällkniven has made and still makes some models with Kraton handles, like the A1, but never the F1, as far as I know.

The Master Hunter is a decent blade for the money. Mine is in Carbon V and it is probably 13 or 14 years old now. It was the first knife I bought that was scary sharp right out of the box, polished convex edge and everything. I've pretty much relegated it to practice sharpening convex edges. I also dunked it in some red wine vinegar and now the blade is black, except for the edge.

What did you do with it? Did you baton with it? How has the tang held up, has it loosened?

It's been 4 or so years ago but you may be right i may just be confused about which models it was... I thought it was an option available with either material but may have just seen the different models with different materials.

...I have had one of these (Carbon V MH) for many years. I have split firewood with it, thrown it, sliced, diced & otherwise used it as hard as I needed to without ever having a problem with the handle, blade or even sheath. For ~$70 it was an EXCELLENT knife for the money :thumbup::thumbup:
