Do any of you gents know if the new xhp CS mini recon ,and for that matter mini-lawman are thinner (total knife thickness) than than the aus-8a knives are? all the other CS offerings in xhp seem to be a bit thinner so I am hoping this applies for the 2 little guys as well, thanks ahead of time.

I have a mini Recon coming in the mail tomorrow.

I just got a regular Lawman, and I was impressed with the thinness of the knife. It is wider than a PM2 face on side view, but significantly thinner while being essentially the same blade size, closed, and overall length.

I wasn't aware the blade stock thickness has changed. The handles have, but I don't think the stock thickness has. The full size Recon 1 has a 3.5mm stock thickess which does not hamper its cutting performance.

I am primarily interested in the knife thickness(I really like a slim profile knife in the pocket),however I don't think the blade thickness has changed either-was looking at some reviews and a few mentioned that the mini's were 'blocky' so just wondered if the new xhp ones were blocky or if they are using the new thinner g10.

Fyi called cold steel today ,said the g10 on both of the above mentioned knives is in fact thinner than the aus8a versions
