Cold Steel Pole Axe Re-Mod

There's a traditional style of Russian walking stick that has an axe-head for the handle. Usually they're pretty decorated and the handle/head is brass, though wood ones exist in abundance as well. They came from an old legend, I think, in which the hero used one to fend off some big bad something or other.
 
probably the next axe i'm ginna buy
i'd sand it and then cut the pole to the length of my rifleman's
