Hi everyone. This is my 1st post on BF although I've been visiting the site for a couple months now. Anyway, I recently aquired 2 NIB Cold Steel ATCs (The 1\4" thick versions of the LTC) and noticed that while 1 is in CarbonV, the other is in stainless. I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of stainless steel was used in the ATC? (AUS6,6a,8,etc) also does anyone know if ATCs will fit the kydex sheath cold steel offers for the LTC? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the quick reply!! An ATC (All terrain Chopper) if memory serves, was the 1st kukri sold by cold steel it's the same shape and legnth as the LTC (Light Terrain Chopper) but 1/4" thick and flat-ground like the new 5/16" thick Gurka Kukri. It was made in CarbonV and stainless steel versions for a couple years then discontinued around the time they dropped the trailmaster (the rolled-edged CarbonV one) apparently due to some manufacturing difficulties.

Cold Steel used to offer a rolled edge CarbonV TrailMaster?

You mean rolled as in Moran, appleseed, convex?

I bought one when they first came out, and mine didn't have a rolled edge. I know the stainless version has this edge.

I know, off topic. Sorry...
Welcome to the forums Tony A! Almost forgot.

oops, my mistake. Cold Steel DID discontinue
+ reintroduce the CarbonV Trailmaster but it might have had a "standard" (non-convex) edge all along---the convex\moran stainless version threw me off.

Tony A...

Quite alright. You're new here.
