I'm not sure what your question is exactly. The steel on this knife is some kind of trademarked Cold Steel dealio. "VG-1 san mai" I think it means "stainless".
Similar to VG10 only they laminate the steel to a softer outer layer and the cutting edge is fully hardened. I've owned several and if I wasn't so broke I'd scarf this they are that well made. Usually screaming sharp too. Almost to nice to use, least ways the few I've owned were. Just very very well made. keepem sharp
I'm gonna have to back away from this one as well, truck maintenance has forced me to pass up this beauty. Congratulations to whomever gets it, I've wanted one of these for quite some time.
