This is a brand new Cold Steel Recon Tanto customized by me. The finish on this knife is better than you will receive from Cold steel. I stripped off the coating and made the knife a true scandi grind with a blazing sharp polished convex edge. The scandi is 12.5* and is finished to 600 grit. I then made the edge slightly convex and took it all the way up to 2000 grit and then polished with chromium oxide. It is as sharp as it gets, it shaves and whittles hair with ease. The steel is Carbon V. I know a lot of people like to use these as bushcraft knives so I wanted to modify one with bushcraft in mind. The tanto tip is thick but very pointy. You dont have to worry about smashing it when batoning and its awesome for making the hole to start a bow drill. The Sheath is included. I am offering lifetime free sharpening to whoever I trade with (non-transferable if you sell or trade).
