I have a Cold Steel Recon Tanto in great shape. I just put a new edge on it. I am not the original owner so I don't know if it is Carbon V. It has both the original sheath and the Kydex sheath. It's a very good blade. I myself used it twice in the bush. The blade coating has some wear. I am looking for a fixed blade of the same size (6"-7"), but not a tanto. Open to all offers. Thanks for looking.

i have been looking for a used Cold Steel tanto or SRK to field test.:thumbup:
i would rather try out the tanto so,
several offers and more will be glad to find something good for you.

If it's made of Carbon V steel it should say that on the left side of the blade. I never thought I'd like one of these until I bought one and got to know it. Actually, I think its 7 inch blade makes an acceptable outdoors knife if you want something a bit on the longish side. It has the weight to do light chopping.
 
I wanted to add this to the trade list: a New Beast lockback folder by shcrade made in the USA.
