I think most males enjoy watching Cold Steel videos when/if they do - people like to see knives, tomahawks, machetes, swords, etc. doing "cool" stuff (impressive, dangerous, silly, whatever)
If they are having fun showing off what their designs can do and exaggerating with descriptions, who cares really. They test their knives and other manufacturer's knives a crap-load more than what goes on the videos.
People will laugh at some of the Cold Steel tests and claims, yet get all hot and bothered when one of their favorite knife companies name-drops on some unknowing military unit/division.
I think a lot of it is the mob/gang mentality of the knife collectors who collect tons of $100+ knives and fondle them while watching action movies and use them for tasks that would only require $5 knife or pair of cheap scissors.
They like to have themselves believe through repetition by large numbers that their knife that cost 2-3x the money can do all of the "Proof" stuff and then some. When some one mentions how this or that rather expensive knife from another big name company fails a mediocre test the collectors grab their torches and pitchforks.
All together, I laugh at a lot of the things L.T. says when hyping up the products; but I love that he speaks his mind and actually stays true to his own self. The videos have sold them a ton of knives and will continue to do so. A lot of other companies have fans who hype up the products so much that they would just be wasting money on videos.
