I actually own the 4116 krupp tanto they had in the series. I actually hacked my way through a small dead tree with no dulling, nor was there any damage. A few scratches on the blade, but the blade proved worthy...
I then tried it on some green branches (Don't worry, they fell off the tree on their own), cut through with no problems.
Cold steel lost a lot of customers after carbon-V went down, they were really tough knives and all, and the carbon steel knives they have now (In my opinion) aren't really suited for "The abuse you and mother nature can dish out".
Just my 2 cents.

It's a shame but seems to be the norm when it comes to American cutlery companies closing shop and moving to china or just closing shop altogether... And that just sucks....
