Cold Steel Scimitar plain edge

I have a CS scimitar- plain edge, satin blade. It has been carried a lot, never used or sharpened. I have never cut anything with it other than shaving hair off my arm on occasion to show it was sharp. There is heavy wear on the black coating on the pocket clip from my jeans(pocket clip is black but blade it not). There are also two deep scratches about half an inch long on the end of the handle opposite the blade(like I said, it's been carried). Lock-up on blade is early, and rock solid.
