Can somone tell me the advantages of this "concealex" sheath. It looks like its universably mountable (horizontal vertical upsidedown) but when i took a closer look it just looks like a regular belt hanging sheath with a few openings around the edges. Is it uni-positioning or just regular hanging? is it of good quality?

Concealex is a kydex type of material as opposed to the nylon sheath that used to come with the SRK and still comes with factory seconds.

I have the Concealex sheath with my SRK. It does have the capability for universal mounting. All you need is some 550 cord or perhaps velcro utility straps. I personally have used the velcro strap method. You can purchase them from places like REI or Blackhawk Ind....just them one velcro strap through the back mounting slot on the back of the sheath and thread another one through the belt-loop and you now have a way to carry your SRK scout style (horizontally across your waist) or vertically (handle down) on your backpack strap. It's very convenient.
