Cold Steel stuff very cheap!

Folks, this is not an add, I'm just passing along a website where I bought some stuff this week.

I bought 3 cold steel knives, both of their Triple action folders, and a scimitar knife for $39.95 each. On E-bay they each go for at the lowest maybe $70, which is half retail.

At less than $40 a pop, snap em up!

There are other brands too, under their clearance section.

Oh well..my stuff has shipped, so hopefully it will arrive safe and sound - UPS says Monday...

What was wrong with them?
 
Do a search on this forum on Botach Tactical and you will read a few real horror stories. I've ordered from them, I forget, five or six times. All good except for one out-of-stock, and they canceled that order on my phone call.

But it seems we still take chances dealing with them, attractive as the bargains are.
 
Please don't use these guys....they are horrible!!

They sent me an obviously used or "showroom" watch. When confronted with this......the Botox disappearing act began. They became very hard to get in touch with, not answering mail and not returning phone calls. Basically, they said....."it's new"........that's nice with all the scratches and marks on the band! At the time, I was busy with a lot of other things and had to let this one slide. I will never use them again. Also, their sales personnel don't have the slightest idea what the product is or isn't.

I ordered a watch from them a few years ago. The price was good. The watch did come, but it looked as if someone had worn it a few times. I was not happy, but after customer service contact, I decided to keep what I had and move on, as the calls were becoming a big time waster.

Then, a funny thing happened. Just last week, I noticed that an employee was negotiating a very large purchase from them (exceeding $10,000 on the first order with others to come once this was sent to the field)....when I saw the botac.com on the guy's computer, I asked him if it was actually Botach. He told me yes and that he was having a very difficult time with the salesperson. I immediately put an end to the order with Botach. We were able to get the supplies from another vendor without any problems, actually at a better price. The new vendor was glad to have the order and really gave it that extra touch, which can make a transaction very pleasant/easy. We will continue to use this new vendor. To Botach.....Adios (next time deliver new watches and get employees who have some basic idea what they are selling).
 
I'll have to triple, quadruple and repeat what the guys said above.

One botox experience was enough for me.
 
Order from Botac??? yeah right:rolleyes: just send your $ to me and at least know it went towards a good cause (DOG FOOD!):D . my best advise would be to choose a more reputable dealer BUT i do hope you are pleased with your order when it arrives as well:) !

Do you mean you think their quality is poor? Or their prices are low?

If you think their quality is poor, then I would ask compared to what? I may stand alone, but I actually like their stuff. And I own and abuse alot of it...I have maybe a dozen different knives, 5 of their swords, spears, axes etc.

I do think their retail prices are high, but you can pretty much get any if their items on e-bay for half price, all day long, or even lower at some places like Botac.

I would be curious to hear if you have a real opinion on cold steel and what it's based on.

Not trying to bait you, just curious.

Well, all 3 knives arrived yesterday safe and sound !

I appreciate all the advice on "Botox", and I am sure this will be my last order from them.

Just glad this one made it to me :)
