Cold Steel Ti-Lites

Someone should make customized handles for it. I bet you could buy a zytel version and make some nice scales and stay way under the price of a Ti Ti-Lite.

this knife is on my list of knife id like to buy and im thinking of getting it now. everyones reviews look good on here. so would everyone recomend this knife then? the only thing that concerned me was that i herd that it does have some blade play i dont no if thats true or it was just the person but id like to no.

Mine had blade play, but it would probably be easy enough to fix. Tightening the pivot would do away with it, like as not.

I'd recommend the knife if you want to fiddle around with it, dream about using it for 'self-defense' one day, and admire how cool it looks. If you want a practical knife for actual use I would look elsewhere.

ive got a 6" version. never used it in any edc role, other than slicing 3 liter bottles side by side in one swipe once. if i was to ever need a knife in a defensive role its one id have on my short list though. this thing whipped out in public would either make them faint, shit there pants or both. but other than that it isnt a useful edc and its just too much to carry as a defensive blade.

The 6" Ti-Lite is designed to scare people. I was showing mine to some folks and they were appalled -- "that thing is unruly" one of them said.

It is basically a folding Fairbairn Sykes with zero utilitarian value. I could not open mine any other way than to snag the quillion on my pocket -- and that ridged reverse wave is so rough it tore the pockets of several pairs of jeans. I carried it for maybe 4 months before trading it for something more civilized.

I have a 4 incher in FRN it makes a great backup SD EDC, sharp as all get out but to me it's an SD knife only and in that capacity it's a great blade, super quick too, as fast as an auto or AO.

If you live in a state where getting a CWP is next to impossible (and concealed fixed blades are a no-no), but that state has no limit on the size of a folding knife blade... ex./ California. Then the 6" Ti-Lite becomes a bit more valid as a tool, so does the Rajah 2. I carried both when I lived in SoCal. My Ti-Lite can be snapped open in a blink of the eye. Just a matter of adjustment.

I like the ti-lite, but you would have to carry at least 2 knives because they will freak people out and are very impractical for everyday uses.

For the money, you could do worse than the 4" Ti-Lite.

The 6" Ti-Lite is a comical prop.

+1
I have both, 4 and 6'' zytel, whith the thumb opening the 4'' is fast and the 6'' is faster... the wave feature is excellent to

As someone who owns and carries the 6" Ti-Lite, I'll have to disagree with your comment. A close examination of the 6TL reveals a strong, well made knife that is pretty reasonable price wise. But, it isn't a good edc knife for reasons others have pointed out. Having said that, the 6TL is a great SD knife. Nothing very comical about the intended use of this knife.

With respect, my humble opinion.

I have had a 6" Ti-Lite for a few years. It resides in its box, in my knife drawer. It is sharp and the blade locks up tight with no play. I can open it very quickly. I bought it mainly to have for a novelty. I find it way too big for everyday pocket carry. I think it would attract the attention of any LEO that happened to see you pulling it out to cut a piece of string off your garment. I don't think it is legal to carry concealed in my area. The bottom line for me is that its a fun toy but not of much practical value. It might be useful in a SD situation but I wouldn't want to have to explain having a knife like that on me to a jury...
