Cold Steel Tiite: Zytel or Anodized?

This may not be the popular blade but I used to have the Zytel and liked it. I have been looking at maybe getting a nicer used one but never see a used Anodized blue handle one. Wondering why a new anodized can be more than twice the price of the Zytel version. I think they both are AUS 8.
Anybody own both? Is the anodized that much better in some way?
Thanks.

I don't own either, but I've handled both. The anodized titanium looks better, and offers just more strength, but the pivot and lock would fail before the handle material. The titanium is also heavier if that is a consideration for you, and will also probably scratch easier. The only reason it cost more is because titanium is more expensive the zytel, and is harder to work with. So the only reasons to go with the anodized titanium is looks, and for a slightly more sturdy knife. I actually prefer the zytel because it is lighter, and I wouldn't worry about scratching it as much, but that's just my .02 cents. Hope that helped some.

I gave my titanium to a friend. I have the Zytel now, actually I also have the 6" Zytel as well. For EDC, the Zytel is fine.

Do they still make the titanium? I think they switched to aluminum or the heavy duty version.

Thanks to both the replies. I will try to find out if the anodized is aluminum, which I guessed it was, or if titanium. I may just stick with Zytel for the price point.
