I was just curious if anybody owns or has thrown one.If so, whats your opinion of it?

I have thrown them a lot and they are fun. The one I like best is the 3/4" thick model, which is now discontinued I believe. The full inch thick model is heavier.

When you throw them, it is important not to snap your wrist because the heavy weight puts strain on the wrist. The snapping motion can also result in the rear tip scratching your hand as it leaves. Of course, I generally don't like to throw with much wrist action, but I tried it a couple times to see how it would affect throwing range.

Another tip is to have a very secure backstop. The penetration of the torpedoes is tremendous. They will cruise through 3/4" plywood with no problem. I use a couple sheets of plywood with a very dense foam archery target on the front.

By the way, a hearty welcome to Bladeforums!
