Cold Steel TrailMaster vs Becker BK9 info

I love the way the TM looks, I really want one, but that rubber Kraton straight handle kills it for me. That limited edition "flight of the intruder" TM comes with micarta I think, which is awesome, but I like the knob or parrot beak near the pommel on beckers too much. I do a lot of chopping and it's an important feature for me nowadays

The CS TM is a nice knife with a loyal following of its own; but I've never heard anyone say you can't not have a Trailmaster.

well, it's not a TM - it's an RS - so same blade only 2" shorter.......
handle contours should look vaguely familiar, too.

A Busse Scrapyard Regulator can be had for about the same price with a full flat grind, the Red C handle on these is the most comfortable large knife grip that I've ever used. It offers a cushioned grip similar to Krayton but doesn't get very tacky when it gets wet and it much more dense so it doesn't "give" as much. It offers a similar profile but is only 7.5"
