Got a friend with a Cold Steel voyager 4 in folder. He put 3 in 1 oil on the locking mechanism, and now the lock doesn't even work. Basically, the part that locks the blade open seems to slide out of place, and the blade will close on it's own without pressing the button to disengage the lock.
 
My Voyagers tighten up once in a while, due to grit or something. Half a kettle of boiling water poured into the handle slot(watch your fingers) usually frees them up, and a dab or two of Breakfree keeps them lubed. Don't use any sort of oil, it just gums up. With Breakfree they flip open like an old Zippo.
