Cold Steel vs. Strider?

Oh Lord. Here we go yet again. This has been fairly conclusively put to rest, IMO. If you're interested, do a search.

You know I have looked at all the stuff guys say on-line against this Strider guy, and there is just not enough to get so worked up over.

Good GAUD when we start to point to things posted in Internet chatrooms and message forums we are just being silly.

As far as I know, this Strider guy did sign up and tried to serve his country, but it didnt work out.
As far as I know , this Strider guy tried a life of crime and that too didnt seem to work out.

Im glad he has clearly been able to turn his life around and is not still going to jail for stealing cars....It sounds like now he can own whatever car he wants to drive...

As far as His knives go?
I dont know much about them, Im not into the type of design thats pushed by his company, but to each their own.
If someone likes the design, then get a Strider, if you dont like the design , then dont get a Strider.

It's like this, when I hire a guy to clean my horse barn, I dont ask if he is a good husband, or ever told a lie to help himself get ahead.
I always have to remember that the standard I use to judge others is the same used to judge myself by.

In this light then, I just care that when he is done the horse barn is clean.

I Think Paul Bos Knows Mick Strider, I Don't. I'd Listen To His Opinion Because I Respect Him. I Have Heard Alot About This, But Cant Judge Someone I Dont Know. If Mr. Bos Has An Opinion I'd Like To Hear It.

I don't think bashing someone is a good way to get more business, regardless of what the guy has done.

While I found the data interesting to read, I agree with you iamonespfn.
A company should stand on its' own merit.

I would bet my Buck Revolution that you would never see anything like that CS page from Buck.
It's none of your business what other people think of you, but at the same time, if ya can't say something nice...

I AGREE. ICAN'T IMAGINE C.J. OR JOE EVER PRINTING SOMETHING LIKE THAT.

This is what Paul Bos stated in one of the previous threads that beat this subject to death.

Normally I dont post anything unless somebody asks me a question personally, I always thought that the sworde was mighter than the pen, but I was wrong. Several people years ago said some bad things about me on this Forum that wernt true, But a lot of my Customers that I had known for 20 years or more called me to see if these things were true, it took me alot of time and phone calls to defend myself of these charges, cause at that time I never herd of Blade Forums and had no computer. Personal attacts should not be aloud to happen on these Forums. I have known Mick strider for at least 20 years he is a personal friend of mine, Yes he did screw up once in his life, He paid his det with no complaints like the Man that he is, Mick and his partner Duane Dwyer took Strider Knives where it is today with little help from outside. If mick and Duane were my Sons I couldent be more proude of what they have done for this industry and there Country. They have given more than any other Co. I know of. The Collaboration between Buck Knives And Strider Knives Has had a long sucsesfull run, and what happens next is between Mick, Duane and C. J. Buck. Im sure CJ will let you know when things settle down a bit. Even though we have been back in opperation for a year, we still have a lot going on up here that needs to be finished. Please excuse my spelling, and thanks for listning. Paul Bos.

I'm done.

Thanks for putting this together for those of us that are newer to BF.

I read that link on CS and have to say that sounds like envy of what Strider has accomplished...

I am closing this thread. Those who have an interest take it elsewhere.

thanks

It seems, that there is a private warfare between Lynn Thompson from Cold Steel and Mick Strider. Is that true? but look and see:

and have a good time.

Infraction issued.
Why in the world did you post that in the Buck forum? Did you think Buck would want to get involved in that?

I see CJ Buck closed this thread at the same time I was moving it. It might as well stay closed; there's an active thread on the subject in this forum already.
