Just off hand I'd say one's a ripoff of the Brian Tighe "Tighe Stick" the other is the Spyderco Civilian that I tought they had put a stop to and what appears to be a folding Bud Nealy Kinzhal. All of the ones I'm talking about here are on the second link. The first has the all new non-metallic knives and the 3rd link has the 6" ti-lite.

Hmm, some of the folder designs are pretty interesting (2d link - Kinzhal, Tighe stick, Sable) - hope they are paying royalties on the designs! Also hope the steel isn't completely lame, esp on that little Kinzhal - very cool! I like some f the plastic pig-stickers as well, might pick a few up for the GF.

OH SNAP!!
New sjamboks!? SanMai Folders!? Ti-Lite VI!? I may run back to Cold Steel for some of my fixes!

Wow! Lynn Thompson is one big-ass hipocrite. Two catalogs ago, he makes a big statement against kerambits and now what does he do? His company is marketing a "toy" kerambit. What a goober. :footinmou

I was thinking the same exact thing Wunderbar, I remember reading that catalog and thinking that he actually made some pretty damn good sense for once and wasn't jsut being sensationalist.

I guess Mr. Thompson just didn't like the idea of his competitors making money on a blade when he wasn't...

Preach it!

Maybe he'll say it's only intended for forward grip with the pinky in the ring :D

Wow, they super-sized the Ti-lite! If its as good as the 4" zytel model, I'm gonna put that on the list for 2005. Can't quite see myself EDCing a folding blade that long, but there's a first time for everything. I want to try the rubber OSS as a practice knife.

I wish L. T. would have some consistency on the kerambit issue, and that CS would update their website. Oh, and that CS would stop making those pointless zytel-only knives.

I'm telling ya, you got to try EDCing a fixed blade. I'll hook you up next time I take a pass.

LMAO !!! I thought the same thing when I saw he's got a kerambit now! Now all he needs is to show up in his next Special Projects catalog in camo :p

This may be his best collection of new knives and gear yet, but we have to see prices and quality to be sure.

I like the Caledonian Edge and the Hatamoto and the tanto with the steel or titanium handle with the bamboo design but those are probably out of my price range, expecially while I am unemployed. It looks like a good effort by Cold Steel to produce some higher quality stuff.

New TiLite -- a giant liner lock. Yeah, that's a good idea. <Where's that dang roll-eyes thingie?!>

I think he's pretty consistent. He thinks there are better defense options and is a fad, but that his company will make lots of money selling one. I think he's right on both points :)

I'll definitely buy a Black Sable, everything I like about the TiStick in a lock back :)

Before everyone decides that he's ripping off custom makers designs keep in mind that the same thing happened with the ArcLite (DDR) and the TiLite (Boguszewski). People were tearing into CS just to find out they had purchased design rights from the makers.

Yes, even if Lynn is a bit over hyping, he's still honest in that sense. His Black Talon is licensed from Spydie

The one looks very close to the Boguzeski (sp?) Spike, and another is walking a fine line to looking like part of the Emerson CQCx series. I seriously doubt Ernie has licensed his design to CS!

the spike is licensed to cold steel they make a fixed blade version of the knife. which one looks like an emerson........
