Cold weather blades

Now that's a burly knife.

Hultafors. Similar to a Mora, but with a big handle that works well with lined elk skin gloves. Plus, the blade is thick and tough enough to pop open a frozen car door.

I live in Champion MI, up north in the U.P.
It's always cold here. It's 4 degrees right now. To be honest, most people don't really wear gloves around here unless it's like 10 below or colder. I wear gloves while working on stuff or doing outside chores but it's not uncommon or unbearable to take them off for a little bit to fiddle finger my knife open.
That being said, I really appreciate a knife blade that are easy to get ahold of. I have been carrying my GEC #47 hawkbill almost everyday for about a year. I love how utilitarian the blade shape is and how much steel it offers for a good pinch of blade between the finger and thumb. Also picked up a GEC Lumberjack a little bit ago and I can saw the same thing for this pattern as well. A fixed blade knife is king if I'm in the woods though.
