Mighty cold up here, too. Wasn't too bad yesterday but this mornin it's colder than a mother-in-law's kiss. Helps me cut down on smoking though since I'm at my girlfriend's house and she doesn't let me smoke inside! :D

K A, my brother is in Sidney MT, near you and he told me last night your having a "normal" winter there.. LOL. Reminds me of one of the reasons I left. That is some cold country around you. I have seen it a -44 without adding any wind chill, when working on the drilling rigs near your location. It has snowed 4-6" here and is about +20 and everyone here is freaking out. I would probably turn into a Popsicle if I went back "home" now. Jim

Monday morning, 6:50am.....Great Falls, MT. Air temp -22, wind chill: -41
About 6" of snow, but some drifts over 4'.
Just another great day to be in front of the forge! :)

I left some knives that have gone through 1 of 3 tempering cycles in my truck, I wonder what, if any effect it will have.

coldest december 15th in Denver (on record), -15 f.,,,

jeezzzzz,,,, better no "cold forge" anything here,,,

-30 C. here in Calgary, with a nasty wind chill around -40*... *that's Fahrenheit or Celsius. Lots of snow on the ground and more on the way...:)

You guys are nuts to live where it gets so cold. It is only 32 degrees at 4:00 in the afternoon and that is all it takes to make me ready for spring. I can put up with the hot weather allot better than I can the cold weather. The next thing yall will be saying it is a dry cold :) A -21 is cold no matter weather it is dry or wet cold. It is only 6 more days untill the daylight time starts to get longer and when that happens I will be counting the days until spring gets here.

I know just what you guys are going through... we had a high of 40ish all weekend and now the highs are just barely in the mid 60s... I had to hug the forge to stay warm. :(

I know how you guys feel and I don't want any part of it :D

High of 80 low of 67 down here in God's Waiting Room..........BIOTCH!!!!:D Although I will admit that I would kill for an 80 degree day with low humidity in the shop anytime between the first of May and the end of September down here. Summer days in front of the forge any time after around 10 am in the Southeast is about as close to Dante's vision of hell as one can get.

It was 8 degrees c. or about 46 f. and rained steady most of the day:grumpy: but it took away about a foot of snow. Now we only have about a foot left:D.

Wow and I thought our 10 deg. was bad. We had rain and above 40 yesterday lost 60% of our snow and this morning it was dropping fast. By the time I was up at 8:00 we had trees down and ice everywere. By noon it was 10 and just yucky. They say it will be back up to 20 Tues.

I am just the opposite, and prefer dealing with the cold instead of the heat/humidity of summer.
I can always put on more clothes, but if I take off too much the Save-the-Whales people show up and keep trying to gently coax me into Lake Michigan. :)

Semi-winter day here. Morning temp was around 0F with 25-45 mph wind. Got up to 13 today when the wind died down.
