Next time be clearer with your offer or don't put conditions with them instead of posting your frustration here :thumbdn:.
You said "I'll take the knives if you include shipping to Australia". The sale post was for shipping included in US and Canada only. And there was also an offer at the same time as you with no conditions and in the US and Canada. If you would have said " I'll take it" not trying to include shipping to Australia you would have gotten them. Pretty clear cut to me.
Buy a house and if the seller has 2 offers, one without conditions and another with conditions and both are at the same price. You take the one without conditions. Same thing here...pretty simple basic selling/buying principles.

If i had a knife for sale with 2 potential buyers, and one was conus and one wanted me to pay for overseas shipping, the knife would be staying in conus. The buyer isn't doing the seller any favors by buying the knife when there is another buyer waiting in the wings.
I don't know coldcase, but I don't think that he did anything wrong in this instance. Maybe hearing the other side of the story might change my opinion of the situation, but as it stands now, I think his actions were legit.
