Here's the latest Kyle Hanson piece. I really like this one!

For those who don't know, Kyle is my son and has been working in the shop here for a year or so. He is 21 now and really showing good skills for knife making. It looks like he is going to stick with this. We mark these with the Sunfish stamp and a K. He will have his own stamp at some point, so these pieces will be rare! Realy, they will be...

4" W2 blade 61-62 HRC w/killer Hamon. 8-1/8" overall.

Full tapered tang. Black Micarta Scales.

Nice Rowe Sheath.

Thanks for looking!

This post just goes to show you how important having a great teacher is when it comes to learning a new craft/skill.

that's a great looking knife! Best Kyle H design I've seen so far.

I'm impressed and not surprised. He has the focus, and he has a great opportunity.

ME: Move away from the stamped K and the collab marks. He deserves his own brand, and he's ready. (Ask Tony how many pieces he signed with Reese? ;))

Second: The Hanson tribe needs a leather God. What say ye....? :D

Keep it up!

The K will go away real soon, Kyle should already have his stamp, but procrastination is strong with this one. ;)

A leather God? In house leather would be great. Kyle has expressed interest. We'll see.

Thanks!

Thanks guys!

I'm impressed with his shills and how quick he gets stuff!

I had to laugh.:D
He has a great shill selling his work but he also has some incredible skills. That is a beautiful knife. You should be really proud.

Nice knife, Don...great hamon. Just curious though, when ya gonna give the boy a hammer?;)

Nothing wrong with bringing Kyle along slowly, insuring his work is fundamentally sound. He will reap the benefits from it down the road.
This is a beauty, I really like the Damascus and Amber stag hunter as well.:thumbup:
