Collectible knives

Buying customs can be your best investment. Tell your wife that it is a tax free investment. Most production knives will not appreciate in value in my opinion.

My Turn,

Good old quality goes a long way in the knife market. I have been swapping and sellling pocket knives for good many years and have found that a Tidioute, Case, Kane, Beaver Falls will attract a fair price realitivly fast compared to the newer stuff. Of course I am partial to Pennnsylvania related knives and have spent a good amount of time learning the ins and outs of them. Therefore, "most of the time" I know something about them and can figure if it will make a small profit for me to buy and sell or a keeper for my collection. I do it becuase I love it but if I make a couple of bucks then it just that much better. I usually spend the profit on a piece for my collection anyways. I love old bone handled PA pocket knives and if you throughly know the product you can easily determine what it is worth now and possibly the future. LEARN LEARN AND THEN LEARN SOME MORE, HAVE FUN DOINGIT AND IF YOU MAKE PROFIT, IT IS ICING ON THE CAKE. $350 can buy some great knives that can be worth considerably more if you are educated enough. I have personally tripled that amount in a relatively short period and did it honestly. Auctions, flea markets etc. are great locations for deals. You just have to know what you can do. Thanks for letting me talk
