Collecting knives should be a joy......passionate about the history of what you are collecting,brand name ,type,condition,rarity,style will come into play
as you amass the type of knives you want to collect.
Get some books about knives and read,go to shows,look,feel ,fondle( if the maker will let you and most will if you ask permission )Here is 30 + years of "some of my collecting" before I decided on one brand of knife.(Buck)...and I still wander to other brands and customs.....I've already raised my kids makes it easier.
