Traditional pocket cutlery is incredibly personal, compared to a lot of more modern stuff today. I feel like there is a pattern, or patterns for everybody under the sun. As to what to collect, I think it depends on what you like to use your knives for, and your hobbies. I think Jackknives, are suitable for nearly anything though, and one of the most, versatile patterns, albeit simplistic. It works for me, and incidentally my first Case, was a #220 Texas Jack. As the old saying goes you wind up with what you started out with. Still while I'm partial to the Jack, I own, and carry a plethora of different patterns, it interesting to just use them. Variety is the spice of life.
