Hah! What could be better than being a knife lover and a knife maker.

blade is 1962 Ford Galaxie leaf spring, forged.
16" OAL, 10.25" blade
Jatoba scales with leather spacers and copper pipe for pins
I don't know if this blade shape has a name, I was practising my counter-bending and I actually really like the profile.

she's razor sharp with a 360 degree temper.

I was a bit disappointed when I ruined the khukri I forged and thought maybe I wouldn't be able to make large blades successfully but I tried again and actually learned where I made my mistake and why my long blades were warping.

I actually went back to my thread about HT thin blades and learned that I could straighten a blade after quench, then I found the reason for the warpage, thrusting a still hot blade into a snow bank. Won't be doing that anymore.

I definitely don't have a problem keeping the knives I learn on. :)

Looks like a real bruiser. You should be able to clear a lot of bushes with that.

Your blades are getting better with each one.

Thanks.

I think it may qualify as my camp knife, unless of course, I make a bigger one before camp season. :)
