Hi guys !

Short my story I'm in the knife hobby for about 3 years now Startet with boker but was very disappointed Soon got to crkt Liked the design Didn't like materials Then did huge jump up to zt 0450cf Was very impressed I never wanted a huge collection so I've spent a rly rly long time (2 years everyday for hours) watching YouTube or reading reviews
I feel like I've seen everything although I have not handled a lot of knives
I always wanted a perfect knife Good quality AND looks AND materials AND reasonable prize

My current Colection:
Zt 0450cf
PM2
Slysz bowie
And native 5 lw for jogging pants

Of course I'm interested in some other knifes like Chris Reeve or hinderer etc but I don't feel like going higher in price

Benchmade has some nice designs but bec of the bad qc i actually only trust zt and Spyderco anymore

I looked into fixed blades for a short period but they aren't for me as well as traditional knifes ...

So I dont know what comes next There are some knifes I like but don't feel like buying bec my collection has everything at its best role ...

So Is this hobby over now with what I have and continue in life still with a knife in my pocket but not the same passion as before ??

Your tastes can change over time and your curiosity will likely perk back up at some point. Nothing wrong with having a modest and practical collection though. Who knows, maybe kitchen knives will grab your attention? Or maybe Multitools or Swiss Army Knives?

Well it looks like your collection is based on QUALITY rather than quantity and that's great, or as a friend of mine would say, "a beautiful thing".

Agree with you that a few (or 4) knives of high quality are better/ more useful/ more enjoyable than a drawer full of lesser quality knives. Also agree that CRKT is nice designs with lousy execution of those designs.

Lots of folks would be happy as all get-out with your four knife collection. How about rounding it out with, say, an Opinel #8 which would out-perform many knives at ten times the price ?

As it is now which of your knives gets the most carry time?

I already have an Opinel laying at work to cut my fruit for my muesli :)

I also have a Vic cadet which I love but I'm talking about main EDC folders

Pm2 gets most pocket time which still surprises me bec I didn't like it first bec I thought it would be ugly and blade to handle ratio was not good but only watched and read so many good reviews I had to try it and now I adore this knife

Rly one of the best edc knives ever made

Your four main folders plus the Opinel and Cadet is a well-thought-out and versatile 6-knife collection that I could be very happy with for a long time if not forever. You're quite a lucky guy in my opinion. Enjoy.

Unless you are just in it for the needless consumerism, then stop now and do what you said above. There is no requirement that you keep adding more and more stuff to the pile of stuff.

I tell myself I'm done after every knife I buy. Like yourself, I'm quite happy and content with my current collection, but have no delusion that I won't buy another eventually. Too many pretty ones out there.

You need a Benchmade Axis lock to add to your collection. By what experience are you saying Benchmade has bad QC? I've found it to be largely internet hype with a small group of squeaky wheels propagating something that's largely false. Which Benchmades have failed you on out-of-box quality?

Possible QC issues aside, it's hard to dispute Benchmade offering some of the best service and support in the industry. Until you've enjoyed the wonder that is the Axis lock, you haven't experienced how foldy a folding knife can be! :D

Oh, and go ahead and use those knives and enjoy them!

It's never over so long as they keep making new knives. Something will catch your eye, it always does.

I believe the OP is European, Benchmades support there is not as good as it is in the states.

Nice assortment of knives. Glad you found the few you feel you needed and are satisfied with them. :)

If you consider the knife hobby from the perspective of simply buying them and you feel you have what you need, then I guess you could say it's done for you (for now). In my opinion you could also just be starting. What was your main reason for getting knives? Did you want them just to have them for the occasional times you need them or did you get them trying to see what else you could do with them (once you got that "better" knife)? Think about how you felt about knives when you got your first Boker and compare that with how you feel now that you have other knives. I'm sure you'll figure out whether you feel done with the hobby.

Give it time. Your taste will change. If not, as your lifestyle changes, so will your knife needs. That will be the time to start trying different kinds of folders and fixed blades.

As for Benchmade and it's QC problems, it is probably more hype than reality. Decide which model interest you and pick one up here, on the Exchange. Every knife collector owes it to him or herself to experience the pleasure of an Axis Lock.

If you don't already have something to sharpen with I'd recommend getting something. Other than that I don't know see anything to add if you don't feel like it :D no reason unnecessarily blow stuff up

You mean making my own knives ?
I have to say I already thought about it but the equipment is kinda expensive ...

Nah, what I mean is that, if you're a knife nut like the rest of us, you will never, ever, stop collecting until the day you die and meet YOUR maker, God almighty.
Like Bravo said, It's a sickness, there's always going to be one that comes along that you just have to have, or you think you do until you do and you actually get your paws on it and decide that there's something about it that doesn't sit right with you. So off to the exchange it goes. Or the trading section.
The saga never ends until your last breath.
If you Really want it to? Stay away from this place. It's like crack for a knife addict.

Hi, my name's Tim and I have a problem with sharp shiny objects. But the problem is, I don't consider it a problem
