Its spring and time to rotate a few knives . The first is a relist and price reduction from a few weeks ago. Its quite a rare collectible that should draw some interest in better times A mint condition prototype Umnumzaan from Chris Reeve Knives. It has all the correct paperwork and original packaging from 2008 Blade show where it won Knife of the Year. It originally sold for $1,750 at the show and Ill sell it here for $SOLD, including PP and shipping CONUS.
Looking closely, you can see subtle differences in this knife and the regular production Umnumzaan models that came out later in 2008, such as the deeper handle grooves, a sharpened swedge, grooves extending onto the locking tab, and a second ceramic detent ball in the handle lock. CRK was still in the midst of the design evolution of the Umnumzaan during the 2008 Blade competition and these Prototypes had some special features that were both unique and innovative.
