Just for fun, I took some pictures of the whole happy family. There have been many, many other knives that I have since parted with, and there will be many more coming in and going out, but this is the current status.

I apologize for the low quality, it's the best I could do at such a height with my limited camera setup (an old iPhone):

And kitchen knives:

There were three that didn't make it into the above group photos. First, this Spyderco S30V UKPK that I just got back from Steve Ketchen:

Second, this one that is on its way back from Knockwood Blades:

Third, this CRKT Pilar (the brown micarta one) on its way back from the same:

That's pretty much everything!

Many of these knives have been purchased from members of this site (and the majority of the fixed blades from custom makers here). So I really do have you guys to thank.

If you're thinking to yourself, "Wow, those group photos are terrible, I can barely see them," then I would direct you to my instagram page, where most of these (and many more that have moved on to greener pastures) are photographed with more care: https://www.instagram.com/brancron/

How did you get that patina on the George Wallace barlow?

You've got a good eye! Could you tell it was George Wallace just from the photo? As for the patina, that must just be a trick of the light. The blade has a little bit of spotting with age here and there, but it's a sort of mirror polish otherwise.

See, this is why nobody likes you. :p

Good looking collection my friend. That variety of squids has to be unrivaled.

Nice! What's first pic 2nd row 5th from left (flipper, dark grey scales, orange backspacer)?

Nice! Seems my collection never gets that big because I sell the knives I get tired of and don't carry.
Some beautiful blades you have.

That there is a David Sharp JAK: http://imgur.com/a/HuogM
Here's a quick video: https://www.instagram.com/p/BRjS09NB9ju/

One of my favorites, and one of the handful of custom folders that I've ended up holding on to with no intention of selling. Bought it at David's table at the California Custom Knife Show a couple years ago. AEB-L steel, deeply darkened Ti (an OxiClean treatment, I suppose), and a very old Westinghouse Micarta backspacer with Westinghouse taken from some sort of apparatus that was at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in La Cañada Flintridge.

I've honestly tried to do that, but my love of knives has been steadily outstripping my desire to sell them. However, I do try to carry and use all of these guys, to varying extents. Different groups fall into different types of rotation: for example, there's suit pocket knives (usually the small, slim, elegant ones), then city carry ones (with blades under 3" in my area), then out-of-city ones (larger folders), then hiking ones (any of the fixed blades), etc.

Very nice. My first thought on reviewing the picture is that you should try the CRKT Burnley Squid model, I think you might like it. ;)

Unless my eyes deceive me, you have THREE of the poop knife. I think mine needs a companion. All joking aside, that knife is surprisingly ergonomic with a decent blade shape. I still giggle like a 5 year old every time I carry it though.

I do indeed! It is a great little knife hidden in a revolting package. I think of it as a theft prevention device.

Out of all of them the two that interest me the most are the neon green vic Gardner, that little ( colonial ? ) key chain slipjoint, and the Kentucky case sodbuster Jr.

That Victorinox is absolutely fantastic. Super strong spring, oversized handle, very thin and surgically sharp blade. Outperforms 99% of other knives. Just have to touch up the edge a bit more often, no big deal. I believe that little slipjoint is indeed made by Colonial (I'll check the number on the blade when I get back to confirm). I got it at an estate sale for $1. And that Case Sodbuster is 43 years old but still in nearly perfect condition. Beautifully made.

Wow, 43yrs old and still looks new that's awesome, I love the current clip point they're using but wouldn't mind if it was this one. It reminds me of the recent John Deere model and the John deer case mini blackhorn which I've wanted for a while.
I really need to get me a new Gardner because mine has definitely seen better days.
At first I just really wanted one that wasn't red, but after getting used to the classic vic red on my other vic models I wouldn't hesitate to pick up a red one if It was the only option.
