Collector focus: reputation or quantity?

I don't go for fancier, I go for different and higher quality. Most of my customs are under $500. I sell often, but have keepers. I'm not someone that puts sentimental value in many objects. Most of the time when I sell, it certainly isn't because I didn't like the knife. Just time for a change. I see higher priced knives I like to own, but I honestly don't care for a lot of that funky damascus, jewels and inlays. :barf:
