"I obtained this Kukri from the soldier who got it from a native during the Burma Theatre in 1945. The actual age is unknown, but is at least 57 years old.
It is hand made and still in very good condition. Blade has been kept oiled.
Knife blade is approximately 12" long. Total Knife length is 16" with 4" handle. Handle is teak wood with Ivory inlaid diamond chips & Brass butt & collar.
It has 2 smaller knives approximately 4" each with 2 1/2" blades. Sheath is hardended material of unknown to me material.
Buyer pays actual shipping. Foreign Ask First!
Paypal & C2it accepted, but ask first"

I have no connection to sale.

Good hunting.

Looks like a good Nepalese village khukuri of the age given, in good condition. The inlays are most likely bone rather than ivory. If there is verified documentation of the provenance, that could add a bit to the value; otherwise, buy the knife, not the story. Whether it's a good buy depends on the reserve. If I had any money I'd throw fifty bucks at it to see if it stuck, but I just spent this month's discretionary income on the "HI goes to war" fund, in my opinion a more deserving cause.
