  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Found this in my Dad's stuff. He worked for the forest service in northern California in the early 1950's, so I imagine that that is when he got it.

Overall from top of head to bottom of handle is about 13.5"

Blade edge is about 3 1/4 "

Any information on this?

Thanks.

Looks like a standard Collins Axe Co. hatchet
I'm not sure how to date them
They are kinda, highly collectible on EBAY
I think mostly because they made WWII ones??
I think the military ones are marked "U.S."?
And I think Boy Scouts of America?
The ones with Legitimus are really collectible

Every Collins I have run across had the same stamp/logo
Maybe they NEVER changed it:eek:
Saves on "stamping costs", right!??
