Can you give me the low down on this? I've been hearing about this since I started listening to Art Bell 14 years ago.

It's about as credible as most of the advice you get from Art Bell and Alex Jones, except that it turns you permanently blue.
 
ok have any of the previous posters ACTUALLY used or researched colloidal silver?

yes it MAY turn your skin "blue" if used EXCESSIVELY, but basic dosage amounts will NOT.

It is NOT snake oil. It is extremely effective. Its shunned by the "medical" community because there is no money to be made by it.

Be very careful if you decide to make it. Alligator clips on Canadian Maple Leafs are a bad idea. If you insist on making your own, for goodness sake, get the .9999 fine wire silver. Leave the alligator clips in grandpappy's toolbox. They have some kind of evil nickel plating. Instructions on how to do this safely can be found over at goldismoney.info in the collidial silver forum. Whether or not there really is health benefits to it's use is still up for grabs, but what's certain is that alligator clips on Canadian Maples IS NOT GOOD FOR YOU. Be safe, not sorry. Cheers.

When somebody starts bullshitting about Ions it's time to walk away. Or ask them what an Ion is and let the amusing begin.
Silver does have some antibiotic propertys, but I havn't read anything by anyone I'd trust that drinking Colodial silver is a good idea. Risk with no benefit.

dont like it, dont use it. worked great for me on my infections after sustaining serious road rash.

and surprise, i didn;t turn blue! One would have to ingest gallons of the stuff to even turn a tinge of blue.

by the way, MANY wilderness water filters use colloidal silver as the main way to sterilize water. Endorsed by the EPA,and used by many MUNICIPAL filtration systems.
 
Sorry bushy, but I wouldn't consider that a scientifically accurate sample size.

The only thing I've been able to find that should be taken seriously is silver catheters reducing infection rates, and eye drops. Both of which the concentration of silver is much higher than you'd ever be able to drink safely.

If by "WELL RESPECTED" you mean 911/Truther NWO conspiracy theorist, then ok. Otherwise, not so much.

I haven't seen or heard anything meaningful about colloidal silver outside of this crowd.

Caveat emptor, as always. As surely as Proctor and Gamble use soap operas to sell, well, soap, the conspiracy radio guys are first and foremost pitchmen. They're just pitching survival foods, water filters, and unsubstantiated health cures.

At least they're not suggesting that you have goat testicles implanted in your body, like their great border radio predecessor, Dr. Brinkley:

It's a natural tea made from the inner bark of Tabebuia Ipe tree.

I've heard good things about colloidal silver but,,,,,,,,.nah.
I'll stick with my herbals.
 
silver inside =bad
silver outside =good
silver is great in antibiotic ointment, I had some for my tats, and they didn't get to stay very clean while healing, and they healed up fast and well. consuming things that might kill the bacteria in your stomach and gut doesn't seem that great, besides the fact that none of the people who sell colloidal silver can say exactly what it does. some may hate the big Pharmicos, but at least they can explain what their drugs do, even if they don't get it all right all the time.
