FDA is not aware of any substantial scientific evidence that supports the safe and effective use of colloidal silver ingredients or silver salts for any animal disease condition. Also, in the October 15, 1996 Federal Register, FDA proposed to establish that all over-the-counter human drug products containing colloidal silver ingredients or silver salts for internal or external use are not generally recognized as safe and effective and are misbranded.

I think everyone should calm down.
As for what little i know about this, Colloidal Silver, as with anything foreign introduced into your body, may have unexpected side-effects. However, i have read articles that describe that Colloidal Silver is sometimes used to treat possible infections topically, that is, outside on the surface and not internally.
I should also note, that if you use it and it works for you, good! If you don't want to use it, good! If you've used it, and experienced side-effects, i'm very sorry.

As for everyone yelling "conspiracy" and arguing... Don't do it, please calm down. Please?

I use it with an eye dropper for sore throats and most of the time it stops it getting worse - need to do it every 3 hours or so for a day.

I also use it on cuts with adhesive bandages and I think it makes a difference in terms of healing faster and dealing with local infection / reducing swelling.

I don't drink it and can't see how it would help.

FWIW I just use commercially available 10 parts per million stuff. I tried a 6 parts per million one, and it was definitely nowhere near as good.

Like what's been said removing bacteria from the skin is a positive, removing it from your digestive track could prove fatal. Doubt the stuff would kill you but I don't doubt it has potential to get you sick. It looks like silver ions are responsable for healing propertiesin medication. So called colloidal silver is silver in suspension but not ionic silver which requires a safe nontoxic negative ion to form a soluble compound.

I have plently of practical experience with using and making my own colloidal silver. I consumed it every day for 1 1/2 years just to prove a point. I will make no other claims about what this substance can do or has done for me except to say, yes, it does purify water - very well.

Silver is used commercially in some airconditioning ducts, burns units (at my local hospital), in water fountains and elsewhere because, surprise surprise it actually works.

To everyone here who says it is bullshit , you are very wrong and obviously never tried it and are going by what you read on the Internet !!! I have been using silverbiotics brand for years and it has always kicked out any cold or flu within a day or 2. It will also purify water in a matter of minutes . Now I can't attest to the home made stuff but the high quality brands wontturn you blue and avsolutly work !!!
