I'm in the market for a color laser printer with duplex capability. I need to print manuscripts for proofreading. I have an iMac OS X 10.6.6.
 
Brother has some good buys in mono duplex lasers.

Color, I don't know. Will probably be $$$$. Doing some searching at newegg, brother is about the only option for color laser with automatic duplexing.

A word of warning. Laser toner is generally set with wax. (Or at least it used to be.) This can often rub off in duplex situations leading to jams. Look for reviews and feedback carefully.

I take it you like Brother?

I had seen an HP (the cp2025dn) and been cautioned by a student that he had terrible customer service problems with HP and when Apple introduced its new operating system, HP never updated their driver. He wound up regifting an expensive printer--$ four figure.

The other brand I've considered is Lexmark (c544dn) and it looks like they have a membership to an 'ink replacement club' whereby the inks are more reasonably priced after paying the membership fee.

I just printed duplex to a HP 2025dn from my mac with the latest Os x ten minutes ago. I use it and a bw hp laser to print everything that we do in a small business setting (several hundred copies a week). Both duplex from my mac much easier than the two pc machines we have.

I have had serious compatibility issues with brother printers on my mac.

The only duplex printing that I've had an issue with on that hp is trying to duplex print card stock. It doesn't like that. You can PM me if you any specific questions

We went with the HP.
I need to purchase 80# White Matte paper to replicate the printed book, any suggestions on paper brand or seller? or is it all the same?
