Color Options for the Stock Grivory Scales

We could always approach this problem on our own and not wait for KA-BAR to take care of us like children. What about making negative molds for the purpose of cast resin scales?

Hey GUYON and Dex.......

I am gonna try....... Orange, OD and tan are on my personal list........

E

Awesome E! You are the man buddy.

And if they can make different colors for that Zombie line, they can do a few colors for you since I am guessing they sell more BK&T's than all the other stuff combined.
Even the Snody knives have two different colors. They do it for the Tweeners too. Just makes no sense they haven't done it already for the large Beckers. haha

Well, there are legal issues and ramifications for that. I'm not sure if Ethan still owns the rights to the handle design, if so we might be able to get a machinist or someone to make the molds without going through Ka-Bar. However going through Ka-Bar makes the most sense since THEY have the molds already done.

One thing they could do is make a few colors and sell them as a set, much like they do with the BK14 scales with black and orange. Sig does this with Grip inserts. They have a set of OD, coyote and tan grip panels as well as a set of pink, pinker and purple for the P290.

Haha! I know you are hoping Ka-bar would offer the last three in a set for sure aren't ya! :D

This was what I was hoping for. Thanks, E for hearing it out. I'd be buying up tan for sure.

Multiple Beckers = multiple sets of scales!

Count me in if this comes to fruition!

I don't mind the grivory at all, but OD would be be pretty sweet!
Going to try the Krylon here pretty soon. Have used it on a couple of synthetic rifle stocks, and it kind of scratches off, (even the stuff that's meant for plastics). I saw a 'Tube video where a guy used a stabilizing spray first to help it adhere to the plastic, maybe I'll pick up a can of that and try it.

I love micarta, but if we had color options, I honestly wouldn't probably get any micarta. I would sign up for one coyote tan, one od green, and one pink for the Bk10 my wife doesn't know that she has yet.

+1 on this in full

If they can do that, solid colors shouldn't be much of an issue! :D

So, tan, OD, and orange... might as well do the safety green color, too. That way the zombie killers will be pleased as well. You all know they would sell a lot of them.
