Colorado Mountain Trout Fishing

Epic!

That's God's country. :p I don't think I ever caught a wild Trout. That color is stunning!

Beautiful. I was raised in CO. Miss it very much. My favorite lures for trout in the rivers are the small Kastmasters and Super doopers followed by a small split shot and a salmon egg released into the current. Fishing in NM is fairly pathetic

Thanks Everyone! I am very happy to share it with you.

You are all invited on my next trout fishing trip .:)

Durn cannibals. They try to eat their own! Nice pics.

Haha I was wondering if anyone would notice what cannibals they are.

Those pictures are really nice........ Beautimous, even..... That must have been one serious effing flood.... Is it the one that swept away a bunch of campers up above Boulder?..........

Thank you Sir..... Quite a treat.....

Ethan

Thank you Ethan, I'm happy you enjoyed them. Yes sir, the same flood that hit Boulder did so much damage. Where I am fishing in the pictures is west, up the mountain from Boulder. The flood came through up here and then headed down hill to Boulder. The National Guard had to rescue over 2000 trapped people in Boulder. There were 30 bridges and 20 roads washed out in Colorado. I live 30 miles west of Boulder and the flood even made it here and flooded my basement costing me thousands of $. We were woke up at 2 Am with water coming in around our basement windows. Looked outside and my house was an island on 3 sides. I am half a mile from the river and over flowed its banks all the way here.

Here is a picture of my driveway during the flood. Its a bad picture but that river in front of my truck is supposed to be a road. This was the one side of my house not under water. I was just about to toss my bug out bag and my kids in the truck and head for higher ground when it stopped raining and the water level started dropping.

Love Colorado - glad you had a great trip, Mauser. Can't wait to hear how much fatwood you harvest from that stump!

Thanks man. I LOVE fatwood. I will let you know when I make it back. Should be the next couple weeks.

Ah, man. I miss those days (not that I ever went ANY place nearly that gorgeous). Thanks for the stunning photos, Maus. Tell your beard I said hello ;). Mine's at it's summer length - though even at it's winter best, it wouldn't ever rival yours.

Thanks Granite. I wave at everyone with a beard. Just like the jeep guys :D
