Horsewright Horsewright Very attractive stuff yes! I also like the Green you do (plus a lot of interesting work, firearm&landscape pictures you often post)

Thanks, Will
Ya bet Will and thanks. Funny ya mention the green. Literally just finished this knife and sheath, (well and took the pics) just a couple of minutes ago.

I believe the GEC/Tidioute tube & certificate for this knife, (which is somewhere in my closet), has the color as being some kind of fuchsia, maybe plum, or something like that... Definitely a purple'ish color.

Ah, here she be... Looks like Plum it is! 😁

It's pretty cool how one can go to GEC's website and still find their older offerings on there.
I found the following promotional picture on their website, and although they listed the purple scale model as being grape, I do believe my plum specimen is actually the same one, (just some minor discrepancy in the fruit they chose to call it by).
I mean, plum or grape... It's definitely a fruity color of purple! 😆

Looking at the release date for the knife in the following picture, one will see that date as being November 20, 2009.
On the other hand, my specimen' certificate has it's date of manufacture as being November 19, 2009, which is the day before the model' official release date. So, I wonder which color designation is on GEC's books as being the official one for this knife?
Strange how one notices such little details.
It's all part of the fun I find in collecting such doodads 😁

I keep my little Barney the "Purple" Dinosaur in this display. Case... Different colors in bone scales is a good thing, that whole "keeping things interesting" thing comes into play 😊

redsparrow redsparrow Really admire those 38 Specials and green's a fine colour for any knife 😍 Impressive edge on it too!

Regards, Will
Thanks Will, you and I both appreciate the 38 specials. I'm glad they stayed on the shelf long enough to work that gorgeous green one into the budget. The slim blade works so well it deserves a fine edge and is a real joy to use. Always enjoy seeing yours posted too. Have a wonderful week my friend.
