I bought these several years ago and have decided that they just don't fit my hand. If I remember correctly, these are cocobola. They are dark but the one picture with the flash makes them look very light but I wanted to use that picture to show the grain. The other picture shows the true dark color. There are no chips or cracks in the wood and the laquer finish is good with no chips. these came off a series 70, so they will fit any full size 1911. They have a very good fit and finish to the gun.
