Colt and Smith & Wesson knives?

I have the S&W cutting horse with aluminum handle as my first EDC knife. It is very well made albeit being made in China. no play whatsoever, and the edge is sharp. I did the spine tap test on it and the lock didn't give. It's sutiable for me as a "beater" knife.

OK, so I got to try the HRT and I liked it. For under €30 it's simply great.

It's cheap and quite honestly looks the part. That's no problem, because it's a disposable backup knife. It's slightly larger than the generally nicer Gerber Guardian

but thanks to the far superior sheath on the HRT, it carries much better. I've been thinking of getting a custom leather sheath for pocket carry for the Gerber, but now there's no need. Actually the Gerber can be worn in the HRT sheath! The HRT has a removable easy-on-easy-off clip that I'll probably glue on for safe IWB carry, then I'll get another set for neck/pocket carry. Or maybe I'll get two, they're so cheap.

Gerber should take a good look at how a good and comfy boot/covert sheath is made. It's plastic, but retention is good, no rattle, and it's very smoothly curved. You can wear it next to skin with no problems.

Handle is some kind of rubber, very grippy, and from that very crude lanyard hole you can see it's full tang. The ricasso is dull 1/3 of the blade lenght, so it's imaginable that you can grab and stab without cutting yourself.

Downsides: although it's shaving sharp, I wouldn't use the blade for EDC cutting. And it tapers very early on towards the point, so it'll easily snap if it meets anything tougher than flesh and clothes.

For intended use - which is: hopefully no use - it's a bargain.
