Sad thing is nothing can or will be done about it. Design is changed enough and there is no counterfeit branding. At this point it is probably best to look at it as flattery. :)

That knife has a forward talon hole, which is a Registered Trademark of the Busse Combat Knife Co. Jerry is very diligent about protecting the use of his Trademark, as he must to maintain it. So he appreciates us letting him know when any potential violation is spotted.

Colt farms out their firearms too

Just because it has a pony, doesn't mean it's made by Colt "

thats sad.

That's EXACTLY why we've decided to start our own high-end firearms manufacturing Co--completely sick of all the low-end materials and outsourcing all the big boys are doing now! You wouldn't believe how many of them claim to be 'Quality American Made' products, and just assemble low quality parts... Total BS!

...Go get em Jerry!!!!

Coping/design imitation is never flattery, it is theft period.

I would agree to a point but what about all the great makers who's designs are now made by many. Lile, Loveless, Randall and the list goes on and on. Take for instance the Chute knife style or the Bowie knife style and not to mention the Woodlore knife. I think Jerry has included himself in knife design history and will be a style or design that is copied more out of respect for the design then anything else. His design skills are a huge influence in the knife industry. Look what his micarta colors have done for color choices in the industry. A good example of his influence spreading the globe would be....snip.name of maker removed as a non-paying maker here but also cause said maker seems to infringe on the Busse Combat trademarked talon hole but is non-US ...maker really has been influenced by Jerry.

This thread has served its purpose. I have also copied Busse on this just in case it was missed over the Holiday.
