Colt M4-K: any opinions on it? Questions enclosed.

Hahaha, awesome. I think the Socom is looking better and better. Just was skeptical about purchasing it without ever having laid my hands on one.. shoot, I have only seen two or three really good photos, and they came courtesy of a gentleman on this site.

Internet references from here are generally ok, but you really should visit a good knife shop or show to experience the actual handling, fit, and finish.

Some knives later in production are much better - or worse - than others, or suffer Monday morning syndrome. It's hard to keep consistent on the production line, but all the major makers try to keep the minimum level high. Still, we all get a bad one sometimes.

Shopping on the internet is kinda like a dating on the internet - the real thing is sooo much better . . .

I agree, but its tough to find a place to handle one in person. Locally, in Northern NJ, there are no shops I know of that carry an extensive line of folders. And I have no idea about shows.
