Nice score DB. How long is the bbl, exactly? Are the screws slightly 'boogered'? It's hard to tell.
Very good condition for it's age. Notice the detail on the grips. They are worn but important details (like the eye on the rampant stallion) are still clearly visible, as is the checkering.
It has some surviving bluing, mostly in protected areas, but appears bright (maybe it is just the pics) on the right side of the bbl. The case hardened frame looks gorgeous.
The only detractor I can see (at this hour) is the filed down front sight. This is not uncommon, however.
Overall, it looks like an honest gun. Albeit in far better than average condition for it's age. Values are very tricky with Colt SAA's and often get down to minute details. It is the most collectable handgun in the world, and considered by many to be better than money in the bank. It is the type of item that should be appraised properly and insured to value.
If the numbers all match, and the bbl length is factory I think you have a very nice collectors piece on your hands. I'm no expert, only a minor collector. But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once.
BTW.. your holster making has really deteriorated.
