Hi all, I am new to ordering Knives on my 'own' from overseas. I have however been ordering knives through a particular outlet that has no trouble bringing in Swords and even Katana's to Malaysia. I have been a knife enthusiasts for a long time, and have a wide array of knives and even a sword here in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. However, as of late I have been very keen to order a particular knife which will complete my collection of River knives

My concern here is that this particular outlet SKL DIY, which have been very helpful in ordering knives from overseas that are not available here, have not been able to order this knife due to the Brand not being in their suppllier list. Those who have had Knives or Blades (Short Swords) delivered to your doorstep succesfully, Can you please tell me how you did it and What are the Best Methods/Technics ( i.e International Express Mail, Fed-Ex..etc) to make this a success delivery. I really want this blade badly, to the point I will pay double its price just to get it. Please give me your best input/advice, or steps I must take to make sure it gets through customs un-detected and un-touchable.

The Knife I am speaking of is really the 'Columbia Hisshou River Knife' (ref: CR2910) which is 12" long in length. The problem is that it resembles a Katana but it is really only a River knife. If only my buddies could help me, but they can't! (at the shop). I am going to order it anyway. I plan to place an order through Amazon.com. WHAT CAN I DO SO THAT I DON'T SCREW UP? What is the best method I can use for shipping (as this is my first time)? and what can I do so that it doesn't get confiscated or 'nosed' by customs? and how do I do it; step-by-step? ;so that the package will arrive at my doorstep succesfully. This is my FIRST time buying a knife from overseas so I am new to this whole process. Please HELP me. Input and Guidance would be appreciated. Specifically from those who have have succesfully received an order of a an item similar to this type. = Long (12"), one sided blade, and looks like a Katana. HELP, fellow Knife enthusiasts out there, I want this knife badly and I am going to order it anyway.
