Hope you like it,

Thanks for watching

WOW! I love what you've done with the handle. I'll shamelessly copy that next time I mod a hawk.

Is it strictly a chopper or is it a thrower as well? I like the Micarta scales as well. Makes a great package.

I really like this!!!

Will you be adding this to your available to buy collection. . .because I would really like one!

Thanks guys!

The blade was made by stock removal, and I designed it as a chopper mainly.

This was my first micarta handle, turned out quite well.

I wanted to make a compact, lightweight and portable combat axe ( I call these jab hawks really). And it' s true, it looks similar to the Mineral Mountain Hatchet Works axe.

I have others on the way, not as nice, just playing with the concept.

I would actually like to see a slightly larger, slightly thicker version of this. While it is slightly similar to the Mineral Mountain axe, I like the more stripped-down blade design and something other than a hollow grind (which obviously wouldn't be my first choice for an axe). I really like its no-nonsense look, and also the ability to be used as more than just an axe.

Generally I'm not a big fan of thick blades, specially when I'm looking for "speed of movement", but who knows, I might give it a try soon...

I like it! Its like a kukri and a tomahawk made an awsome, freakish baby :D .....I'd like to see a longer handle version though.

Well, how thick is the one you made? I'm just thinking around 1/4 inch, nothing freakishly thick. And only a couple inches longer in the blade and a couple in the handle. Also, a more upswept tip instead of angular "double grind" would be cool. That last part is just personal preference, though, as I prefer the curved sweep. Just more utilitarian overall to me. What you have is quite cool as is, though!
