:thumbup: Yup, True. all BUD/S students are issued Bates in Coronado. Force Recon guys I know were issued Danner Acadia.
 
I wear the Danner Striker 8" GTX (old version), and love them. Not quite a tennis shoe, not quite a boot. Excellent traction and durable! Very comfortable (with a short wear in period).
 
I recently order a pair of hiking boots and a pair of sneakers online from Zappos. They offer free shipping both ways and are the paragon of customer service. Ordered on Saturday--received package the following Monday. Both items didn't fit. Called them(toll free) a little after 15:00 EST that same Monday. They sent me an email with a UPS return shipping tag to print out. I received my shoes(one size smaller) the next day on Tuesday and gave the UPS driver the return package. I was amazed. There was no double charge to my credit card either.
